Continence Care

What is the Service?

We offer assessment, advice, support and treatment for enuresis (Hull only) and constipation

Continence product assessment and review for all children and young people (East Riding) and children and young people attending Special Schools (Hull). 

Nursing advice and support for children and young people with specialist continence needs, for example, catheterisation. 

Training Parents and Carers:
Compentency based, child specific training and support for parents and carers.

Transition Planning:
Support is provided for young people aged 14 years and over who have long term health needs, to facilitate the transition to adult health services.

Referral Process and Enquries

Referrals can be made by health professionals, social care and the voluntary sector.

Referrals and enquries are processed through the Single Point of Access Team for Community Nursing and Medical Services.
